The Street Art of Montevideo

Sincere is the word that comes to mind when I try to summarize the amazingly original, unpretentious, yet unapologetic street art of Montevideo. I haven’t stumbled across a city with a panorama like this one, at times rooted in the afro-uruguay candombe musical culture, at times comical, at others times political, then purely poetic. The small and pleasant city made it a joy to wander around and discover its walls:
